Together, the young participants of this workshop visit the current exhibitions at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt. Starting with the exhibition The Otolith Group - Medium Earth they will come up with stories and develop concepts for their own short films. The aim is to expose hidden paths, secret maps, inscriptions and symbols in the city and to examine various ways of interpreting signs, hide-outs, vantage points, sanctuaries and unusual routes....

The stimulating and unusual architecture of the Haus der Kulturen der Welt and its surroundings, with the banks of the river Spree and the Tiergarten, can also serve as a source of inspiration for a participant’s own idea for a film. In addition to developing an appropriate screenplay, the budding film-makers will also learn how to behave in front of and behind the camera and gain insights into the editing and post-production processes. While doing so, they can count on the support of a team of professionals.
