Anuscheh Amir-Khalili is an activist and anthropologist. In 2015, she founded the NGO Flamingo, a network for refugee women* and children, after working with refugees on the Greek island of Lesbos. Since 2019, Flamingo has been running a transcultural community garden that focuses on medicinal herbs, trauma and grief. She received the Citizen Award from the NGO Global Citizen in 2022 for her work. She has been a research associate at anstiftung since 2022 and is the contact person for post-migrant communities, especially in the field of community gardens. Amir-Khalili lives and works in Berlin.
