Code of Conduct

at Haus der Kulturen der Welt

At HKW we want to create a pleasant, safe and respectful environment for all and wish for encounters among people of many identities. We strive not to exclude anyone from our programs.

HKW does not tolerate discrimination against people or groups based on gender, ethnicity, origin, skin color, religious beliefs, sexuality, gender identity, socioeconomic class, disability or age. Any form of racist, sexist or otherwise discriminatory language and behavior may result in exclusion from events without notice.

Should a violation of boundaries or an assault occur, please contact our staff on site or by email:

Our employees represent the interests of those affected and offer support. What is considered a boundary violation is determined by the person whose boundaries have been violated.
