Juliana A. Ivar do Sul
Juliana A. Ivar do Sul has a PhD in oceanography. Her research at the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research focuses on marine microplastics, their longevity in the environment, and potential as markers of the Anthropocene epoch. She has taken part in interdisciplinary research projects in Europe, on islands in the South Atlantic and Antarctica. She contributes as the Plastic expert member within the Anthropocene Working Group of the International Commission on Stratigraphy.
