Call for participants to A Drift in Temperaments

Hello drifters!

Join us for a series of 90-minute drifts during Free! Music Festival at Haus der Kulturen der Welt. Drifting is a playful way to collaboratively explore urban landscapes while listening to a shared soundtrack using headphones. We form a group of up to twelve people and take turns leading each other through the city on foot. The experience is both one of strong, individual experience and shared social situation.

For this event, we will drift in temperaments! Each drift will feature a different soundtrack corresponding to one of the ancient four temperaments: sanguine (optimistic), choleric (irritable), melancholic (wise), and phlegmatic (peaceful).

We begin at HKW – but we never know where we will end up. Before we leave, we talk over everything and go through the simple hand sign language of interaction. If you are unsure, you can always ask during the drift. After the drift we will walk back to HKW together and share some thoughts on our experiences. The drift takes 2 hours from meeting up to being back at HKW again and is totally free of charge.
