The Anthropocene River School develops tactics and practices that can be used to explore and discuss the Anthropocene landscape of the Mississippi both locally and digitally in participatory formats. It will incorporate the materials and results of the Field Stations and translate them into collaborative learning formats. An Open Seminar, which is taking place online throughout the duration, enables active worldwide participation in the project. Lectures, discussions and working groups are streamed live and available as podcasts.

A Field Campus in St. Louis in March 2019 and in New Orleans in September gives the digital platform an analog foundation.
