Monika Rinck is a poet living in Berlin who since 1989 has published in diverse publishing houses. In 2012 she received the Huchel Prize for her volume of poems Honigprotokolle. This was followed in the spring of 2015 by the collection of essays Risiko & Idiotie: Streitschriften. Rinck has received numerous awards for her literary work, including the Kleist Prize (2015) and the Ernst Jandl Prize (2017). In 2017 she curated the festival POETICA in Cologne. She translates from the Hungarian with Orsolya Kalász, cooperates with musicians and composers and teaches from time to time. Recently Champagner für die Pferde—an anthology of her poems, essays, and short prose—was published, followed by the collection of poems Alle Türen.
