Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin/Madrid 2011

Berlin / Madrid / Paris

New cinema and contemporary art

Rencontres Internationales has been held in Madrid and Paris since 1997. Since 2008, they have also been bringing new cinematic discoveries to their partner in Berlin, the Haus der Kulturen der Welt. Rencontres Internationales 2011 open on 28 June with a multimedia concert. It will be the start of a festival that features not just a film program and a discussion room, but also an exhibition with numerous video works.

Films from Germany, France, Spain and about 50 other countries will provide a unique insight into the latest developments in the audiovisual arts.

In addition, the Rencontres Internationales invite curators, artists and directors of big museums, centers of contemporary art and European and non-European biennials from the fields of cinema, video and the new media, to take part in forums and discussions.
