What are the limits of perception when confronting the esoteric or the falsified? Which rituals of madness pervade culture? Filmed both in the Congo and Belgium, the film Télé Réalité creates a tunnel of perception, converging the story of a Congolese reality TV-show and the Belgian carnival.

Departing from spurned narratives reminiscent of magic realism, the film itself is being produced as a tele-collaboration of three filmmakers: Lucile Desamory, Glodie Mubikay and Gustave Fundi realized the film jointly through media channels such as Messenger and YouTube. For this program, Lucile Desamory from the stage of HKW will connect with Glodie Mubikay and Gustave Fundi in Kinshasa to resample and open up the ongoing filmic process by screening excerpts, performing scenes on stage, and presenting a slide-show of a photo-novel based on the film. Through this filmic iteration they will tell the story in yet another way, through a live montage that connects the experience of collaboration with the supernatural imagery of the film itself.
