In this studio talks, two protagonists who have entrusted their stories to the Archive of Refuge share their experiences of the project.

Lucía Muriel and Bruno Watara talk with cultural journalist René Aguigah about the importance of archives that collect experiences not only of refuge and migration but also of racism and marginalization. What themes emerged in the course of their conversations? For whom are they telling their stories, and from what positionality? Are they telling their own stories, or are they also telling stories of and for others? What does “belonging” mean to them? And what kind of culture of remembrance do they consider desirable in relation to East and West German history?
