In the early 2000s, director Mandy Stein drove through the Mississippi Delta to document the last living hill country bluesmen. The result is an evocative portrait of vibrant blues culture: CeDell Davis, impaired by polio in childhood, shows how to turn a butter knife into a bottleneck, R. L. Burnside recalls his first encounter with white blues aficionado Jon Spencer and his Blues Explosion. And T-Model Ford plays the blues in his very own explosive way.
