The Rules of the Game sends a group of people on a tour of HKW and its surroundings, in search of the ‘true’ spirit of football. Within this frame, participants act as if they were being remote-controlled. Guided via chat, they become accomplices working towards a common cause, discovering and determining its rules step by step. Are the players each on their own, against everyone else? Or do they find the need to team up? Can this collective spirit be summoned? What even is the so-called true spirit of football?
