André Pitol is an art researcher, educator, and curator. His research practice and curatorial projects focus on art, photography, archives, and migration from an Afrotrope perspective of art history. He has published essays in Photography and The Brooklyn Rail, among others, curated the exhibition 30th Youth Art Show, SESC Ribeirão Preto, 2022, and was adjunct curator of Parable of Progress, SESC Pompéia, São Paulo, 2022. Pitol lives and works in São Paulo.
