Victoria Tauli-Corpuz (1952, Besao, Philippines) is a human rights expert and defender and a leader of various Indigenous peoples’ and women’s organizations. She is the founder and Executive Director of Tebtebba Foundation (Indigenous Peoples’ International Centre for Policy Research and Education). Tauli-Corpuz was the UN Special Rapporteur on Indigenous Peoples’ Rights, Chairperson of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, and helped draft and negotiate the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples until its adoption in 2007.
