Almagul Menlibayeva is an artist. She studied industrial textile design at the Academy of Art and Theatre, Almaty. She was awarded the Chevalier Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Order of Arts and Letters) by the French ministry of culture. Recent exhibitions include: New Visions. Triennale for Photography and New Media, Henie Onstad Kunstsenter, Norway, 2023; Women Defining Women in Contemporary Art of the Middle East and Beyond, LACMA Museum, Los Angeles, 2023. Her work has also been shown at 7th Guangzhou Triennial, Guangdong Museum, 2023 and at the Sharjah Biennial 15, 2023. Menlibayeva lives and works in Almaty and Berlin.
