Amanthi Harris is a writer and artist. She grew up in Colombo, Sri Lanka and London and she studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and has degrees in Law and Chemistry from Bristol University. Her novel Beautiful Place (2019) was published by Salt Publishing and Pan Macmillan India. Lantern Evening (2016), a novella, won the Gatehouse Press New Fictions Prize 2016 and was published by Gatehouse Press. Harris’ short stories have been broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and published in magazines and anthologies including Best British Short Stories 2020. She currently lives in the mountains of southern Spain.
