Amina Szecsödy works across theatre, choreography, and visual arts. She edits, cuts, and pastes dissonant voices and phenomena of the past and the future into the immediate present. Via this process of what she calls ‘siphoning off’, she develops new complexities and combinations of language and gesture. Szecsödy holds a Bachleor’s degree in Performing Arts from Malmö Theatre Academy and a Master's degree in Choreography and Performance from Giessen University.  Recent works include Shadow Text, KAAP, Art Center Buda, Fondation Perdu & ARGOS centre for audiovisual arts, 2024. Szecsödy lives and works in between Stockholm and Brussels.
