Anwesha Borthakur is a lecturer and researcher. She is engaged in interdisciplinary research focusing on electronic waste and textile waste governance in India, South Africa, and the European Union. She was a Marie Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Leuven, Belgium, and is currently an affiliate of the same university. During her current Humboldt Research Fellowship, she is analyzing the design of textile waste policies in India and South Africa and evaluating why the local traits are absent from the countries’ policymaking. She has published articles in several academic journals. Borthakur lives and works in Munich.
