Bassam El Baroni is a curator, writer, sporadic artist, and associate professor of curating and art mediation at the School of Arts, Design and Architecture, Aalto University, Finland. His work explores artistic and curatorial practices in relation to technology, the political economy, financialization, infrastructural futures and histories, and new forms of activism. Recent works include the book Between the Material and the Possible: Infrastructural Re-examination and Speculation in Art (edited, 2022) and the exhibition Infrahauntologies, Edith-Russ-Haus for Media Art, Oldenburg, 2021. El Baroni lives and works in Helsinki.
