Charles Tonderai Mudede is a Zimbabwean-born cultural critic, urbanist, film-maker, and college lecturer. He is the Senior Staff writer for the Stranger, a lecturer at Cornish College of the Arts, and has collaborated with the director Robinson Devor on the films Police Beat (2005) and Zoo (2007), which both premiered at Sundance. He has also written for e-Flux, LA Weekly, Cinema Scope, New York Times, C-theory, and Tank Magazine and he is the director of the film Thin Skin (2023).
