Christian Filips
Christian Filips is a writer, stage director, and concert dramaturg. He studied philosophy, literature, and science of music in Vienna and Berlin. For his first poems he was awarded the Rimbaud Prize of the Austrian Broadcast Corporation in 2001. Since 2010 he edits the roughbooks, an edition for contemporary poetry. His stage works were shown in several big theatres in Berlin, i.e. in the Volksbühne, but also abroad, in cities like Mumbai or Nairobi. In 2023 he curated poetica 8, a festival for world literature in Cologne and received the Literary Award for Poetry as translation by the city of Erlangen. Filips lives and works in Berlin.
