Diana Rico is a Colombian artist, film-maker, song keeper, Temazcal officiant, and Canupa carrier. Co-founder of 4Direcciones Audiovisual, she bridges ancestral practices with cosmopolitan perspectives. Her work focuses on using the technological tools of our time to talk about ancestral technologies through the language of art. Her artistic practices explore co-creating with non-human entities and designing novel rituals that question dogmas. She is particularly interested in deepening the study of the intrinsic relation of material and immaterial culture in the format of expanded documentary installations. Rico lives and works in Bogota, Colombia.
