Dieu Hao Do is a film-maker and screenwriter. His work explores contemporary Asian-German perspectives and life in the diaspora, focusing on intergenerational themes of war, trauma, and cultural heritage. He studied film directing at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. Dieu Hao Do is a community organizer of the Berlin Asian Film Network (BAFNET), a non-profit initiative promoting nuanced representations of Asian-Germans in film and television. Recent projects include the feature film Hao Are You (2023), the web-series Just Push Abuba (2018) and the short film The Garden of Mr. Vong (2017). Do lives and works in Berlin.
