Eeva-Kristiina Nylander is an archaeologist and a researcher of Sámi cultural heritage, who is specialized in Sámi collections in Nordic and European museums, ethical questions, provenance research, repatriation, and rematriation. She has been a member of a curatorial team of three Sámi exhibitions. Currently she works on a project called The Sámi Collection at Museum Europäischer Kulturen. Recent publications include From repatriation to rematriation. Dismantling the attitudes and potentials behind the repatriation of Sámi heritage (2023). Nylander lives in Inari, Sápmi.
