Ellison Tjirera

Ellison Tjirera is a sociology lecturer at the University of Namibia in Windhoek. For over a decade, he has conducted research with the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) and the Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare. He holds a PhD in sociology from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. His academic interests encompass urban studies, social movements, gender studies, governance, and the dynamics of post-apartheid societies. Tjirera lives and works in Windhoek.
