Emilie Moorhouse is a writer, translator, college lecturer, and environmentalist. She earned an MFA from the University of British Columbia and she was actively involved in the Canadian climate change movement for over a decade, an experience that continues to inform her current work as a screenwriter for an environmentally themed television show. Moorhouse received widespread recognition for her English translation of Emerald Wounds: Selected Poems (2023) by Joyce Mansour, which was longlisted for the 2024 Griffin Poetry Prize. Moorhouse lives and works in Montreal, Canada.
