Franklin Hernandez is a drummer also known as Lukumi. He is the founder, director, and facilitator of Famia Ri Tabalá, a pedagogical project for children where he dedicates himself to transmitting and teaching Bullerengue, sexteto, and other drum rhythms from the Colombian Caribbean. He has played with countless renowned maestros in Colombia including Rafael Cassiani, Ceferina Banquez, La Burgos, and Nelda Piña. Hernandez lives and works in San Basilio de Palenque, Colombia.
