Franklin Tejedor is a renowned percussionist also known as Lamparita. He is currently part of several music projects including Mitú, Estrellas del Caribe, and Nelda Piña y sus tambores. He has been part of major traditional music groups in Palenque including Son Palenque, Sexteto Tabalá, and the legendary Las Alegres Ambulancias, the carriers of the bullerengue tradition in Palenque for over 300 years, where his father was also the main drummer. He is dedicated to actively sharing his region’s legacy through his music and events. Tejedor lives and works in San Basilio de Palenque, Colombia.
