Gertraude Pohl

Gertraude Pohl is an artist whose practice is dedicated to works in public spaces. In 1976 she designed the floor of the Palast der Republik in Berlin. She has created murals, temporary installations, interior designs in various techniques and materials, complex colour projects, spatial structures, and took part in numerous art exhibitions in the GDR and abroad. From 1978 to 1988 she was a lecturer at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee. She lives and works in Berlin.
