Hamed Eshrat is a comic artist. He draws and writes for various publishers, agencies, and institutions. He studied visual communication at Weissensee school of art and design and Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand. His German-language debut Venustransit (2015) and the historical graphic novel Down with Hitler! (2018) were very popular with both critics and the public. His most recent work, Coming of H, was published by avant-verlag in 2022 and is one of the finalists for the Comic Book Prize. Eshrat lives and works in Berlin.
