Hany Tea is an interdisciplinary artist, activist, community organizer, and independent researcher. She uses oral history storytelling, maps, and field recordings to actively involve communities in mapping their own narratives, memories, and historical landmarks. Their research and artistic practice center on exploring the intersections of diaspora, sound, urbanism, and the environment. Hany is also part of the Mutating Kinship Lab, a lab for Asian diaspora artist-led initiatives, searching for a collective response that honours Asian diasporic and mutating identities in Berlin.
