Januário Jano is an Angolan interdisciplinary visual artist. He holds a Master’s degree in Fine Art from Goldsmiths, University of London. His practice spans across sculpture, video, photography, textile, sound installations, and performance, and it is substantially research-based. He is interested in processes of memory, culture identity, and production. Reflecting on the ideas of home and self, he constantly challenges his approach through history exploration and contemporary narrative catechism within the context of the growing interdependence of the world’s economies, cultures, and populations. Jano lives and works in London, Luanda and Lisbon.
