José Alejandro Restrepo is a video artist. He has been working in video art since 1987, making him one of the pioneers of the genre in Colombia. His field of action encompasses single-channel videos, video performance, and video installation. His activities also include research and teaching and his recent participations include A toi appartient le regard (…) la liaison infinie entre les choses, Musee du Quai Branly, Paris, 2020 and Chosen Memories, Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York, 2023. Restrepo lives and works in Colombia.
