Julia Grosse ist Kunsthistorikerin und Mitbegründerin der internationalen Plattform Contemporary And (C&). Sie ist Dozentin am Institut für Kunst im Kontext an der Universität der Künste in Berlin und seit 2024 Mitglied im Hochschulrat an der Kunstakademie München. Sie arbeitete als Kolumnistin und Kunstjournalistin in London, ist Autorin und Mitherausgeberin diverser Publikationen und wurde 2020 (zusammen mit Yvette Mutumba) mit dem Preis European Cultural Manager of the Year ausgezeichnet. 2023 kuratierte sie an der Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt die erste große institutionelle Ausstellung von John Akomfrah in Deutschland.

Julia Grosse is an art historian and co-founder of the platform Contemporary And (C&). She is a lecturer at the Institute for Art in Context at the University of the Arts in Berlin and since August member of the University Council at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich. Grosse worked as a columnist and arts journalist in London. She has written and co-edited several books and in 2020 was (together with Yvette Mutumba) winner of the prize European Cultural Manager of the Year. In 2023 she curated John Akomfrah’s first big institutional exhibition in Germany at Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt.
