Katayoun is a DJ, selector, and curator. She bridges the worlds of fine arts and music through her multidisciplinary practice. Recently appointed as the artistic director of The Other Futures Festival (Amsterdam), she also hosts a monthly residency at Kiosk Radio in Brussels. Katayoun has graced a variety of stages, from supporting Sevdaliza to performing at festivals, museums, art spaces, and nightlife. Her artistic research project, Female Vocalists from Iran and Beyond (2018–ongoing), blends diverse genres across eras and regions, creating soulful journeys of musical storytelling, dreaming, and deep listening. Katayoun lives and works in Amsterdam.
