Laeïla Adjovi (1982, Paris) is a French-Beninese photographer, visual artist, and researcher. She grew up in Gabon and South Africa, and studied political sciences and journalism in France. She is currently working on a PhD that encompasses photography and fiction writing about the transmission and transformation of the Yoruba and Ewe-Fon spiritual heritage in Cuba. Recent exhibitions include: And I must scream, Carlos Museum, Atlanta, 2022 and Les chants Invincibles, Villa consul, Dakar Biennale, 2022. Her publications include: De si longues nuits (with Aurelie Fontaine, 2018). Adjovi is based in Dakar.
