Laia Ribera Cañénguez

Laia Ribera Cañénguez studied physical theatre in Barcelona and theatre pedagogy at the Berlin University of the Arts. Her work moves between documentary and material theatre, performance, physical and visual theatre. In her work, she focuses on queer-feminist, Eurocentric-critical and decolonial perspectives. She currently teaches and is completing her doctorate at the Berlin University of the Arts. She, with the KMZ Kollektiv, produced the plays Kaffee mit Zucker? (2021) and Fünf Exponate (2023), which have won several awards and been invited to numerous festivals. Cañénguez lives and works in Berlin.
