Luamba Muinga is a curator, researcher, and writer. His practice is centred on re-examining history and the permanence of memory, exploring how we appropriate the past and extract its context to locate it in the present. He coordinates LabCC - Laboratório de Crítica e Curadoria, an art platform in Luanda that facilitates the practice of young curators and art educators. He was awarded the Angolan National Press Prize 2022 for Literature for the book Escritos Paliativos (2022). He was also involved in the curation of Migrant Memories, Ndongo 119, Luanda, 2023, among others. Luamba Muinga lives and works in Luanda.
