Moisés Patrício
Moisés Patrício (1984, São Paulo, Brazil) is a Brazilian priest and visual artist who graduated from the Escola de Comunicações e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo (ECA-USP). He is known for creating works that explore the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Afro-Brazilian culture, addressing issues related to identity, religiosity, ancestry, and resistance. Recent exhibitions include: Quilombo, vida, problemas, e aspirações do negro, Instituto Inhotim, Minas Gerais, 2023; Brasil Futuro: As formas da democracia, Museu da República, Brasília, 2023; Passado, Presente e Futuro – a encruzilhada das línguas, Moisés Patrício, Centro Cultural São Paulo, 2022; Encruzilhada, MAM Bahia, Salvador, 2022; Engraved into the Body, Tanya Bonakdar, New York, 2021; and Dak’Art, Biennale de Dakar, 2016. Patrício lives in São Paulo.
