Mor Dieng

Mor Dieng is a djembe player. He learned the djembe in 1994 in the clubs Integration Africain and Goor Goor Lou. He taught djembe and was in charge of the musical accompaniment of all the dance groups at Germain Acogny’s École des Sables in Toubap Dialaw near Dakar. Since 2016, he has been touring throughout Europe and Africa with Germain Acogny’s dance formation. He was part of the Caravane de la Danse and founded his own band Sikory Rhythme in Lac Rose, Senegal, in 2012. Dieng lives and teaches djembe in Wetzlar.
