Murah Soares is a dancer, choreographer, and cultural manager. He is the artistic director of the Forum Brasil intercultural centre, which he founded, and a spiritual leader (babalorixá) of the Candomblé house Ilê Obá Sileké in Berlin. He studied Afro-Brazilian dance, classical percusión latinaballet, modern dance, Afro-Jazz, and cultural management in Brazil and Germany. Most recently he presented The Pathways of Oxalá, silent green Kulturquartier, Berlin, 2021 and The Magic of Healing—Olubajé, Gropius Bau, Berlin, 2020. Soares lives and works in Berlin.
