Nago Koité

Nago Koité is a dancer. Rhythm, dance, and song have been part of his life since his earliest childhood and he grew up in the griot tradition. He internalized the many musical styles of the various ethnic groups in Senegal and later expanded his knowledge to include the dances and rhythms from other African countries. In Germany, he and his brothers founded the dance and music group N’Guewel Saf-Sap, which travels to many European countries. He also works in television and theatre productions, as a lecturer for body language and movement, and conducts dance workshops. Koité lives and works in Berlin.
