Nikau Hindin (1991, Ngāpuhi, Te Rarawa, Tāmaki Makaurau [Auckland], Aotearoa / New Zealand) is a barkcloth maker, cultural practitioner, and artist. She studied at Elam School of Fine Arts. Recent exhibitions include: Manu Aute: Rere Runga Hau, Season Gallery, Auckland, 2022; Still Alive, Aichi Triennale, Tokoname, 2022; Walls to Live Behind, Rooms to Own, Auckland Art Gallery, 2022; Kōkōrangi ki Kōkōwai, Hastings City Gallery, (a travelling solo exhibition produced by The Dowse) 2019–22; and Kathmandu Triennale 2077, 2020. Her most recent publication is Te Uru Aute (co-edited with Rongomai Grbic-Hoskins, 2022). Hindin lives and works in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland alongside her apprentice Rongomai Grbic-Hoskins (Ngāpuhi, Te Rarawa).
