Pavel Braila is a visual artist and film-maker. He is currently visiting professor at the Art Academy of Moldova and at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Bratislava. He studied at Le Fresnoy - Studio National des Arts Contemporains, Jan van Eyck Academie, Maastricht, State University of Moldova, and at Technical University of Moldova. Recent exhibitions include: A War in the Distance, Neue Galerie, Graz, 2022 and Casa Mare, Centrala Space, Birmingham, 2021. His works have also been shown at steirischer herbst and Kyiv Biennale 2023 in Vienna. Braila lives and works in Chișinău and Berlin.
