Peter Okotor is a Nigerian artist. He also does curatorial work to facilitate contemporary art workshops and exhibitions. His artistic practice is concerned with the sense of hearing. He employs archival sound as a mnemonic to highlight past events and how they contribute to historical recall travelling back in time. He is also the Exhibition and Technical Manager at the Centre for Contemporary Art, Lagos. He attended the Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts, Austria. Recent works include Black Market: An Experimental Sound and Video Piece (2023) and Adashi, No Packing (2023). He is also Research Collaborator at HKW as part of the project Ballet of the Masses. Okotor lives and works in Lagos, Nigeria.
