Saodat Ismailova is an artist and filmmaker. She studied at Tashkent State Art Institute, and at Le Fresnoy - Studio National des Arts Contemporains, France. She initiated the Davra research group in Central Asia in 2021 and she received the Eye Art & Film Prize in 2022. Recent exhibitions include: 18000 Worlds, Eye Museum, Amsterdam, 2023; Double Horizon, Le Fresnoy, Lille, 2023; Milk of Dreams, 59th Venice Biennale, 2022; and documenta fifteen, Kassel, 2022. Ismailova lives and works between Tashkent and Paris.
