Sarnt Utamachote (ษาณฑ์ อุตมโชติ) (they/them) is a South East Asian non-binary filmmaker and curator. They are co-founder of German-Thai artist collective un.thai.tled and have curated exhibitions and programs on postcolonial histories, South East Asian diaspora, and activism in the divided Germany. This includes the research-based exhibition In Nobody's Service, Galerie Wedding, Berlin, 2024, which looks at Thai and Filipina diaspora in West Germany, being entangled with sex and service industry. They are part of the selection committees at XPOSED Queer Film Festival Berlin, Short Film Festival Hamburg, and Sinema Transtopia Berlin among others. Their short film I don’t want to be just a memory premiered at Berlinale 2024. Utamachote lives and works in Berlin.
