Sylvie Njobati is a multiple award-winning activist whose work is focused on confronting the colonial past between Cameroon and her multiple colonial encounters with Germany, Britain, France, and Portugal. She is one of the top global voices on the question of restitution. Her #BringBackNgonnso campaign has gained global recognition and motivated several communities and countries to request the repatriation of Africa’s cultural heritage. Njobati has participated in several international conferences as a speaker and panelist moderator and she has also served as a guest lecturer on restitution issues in more than five universities across the globe. Njobati lives and works in Cameroon.
