Tirsit Yetbarek is a passionate advocate for art and culture, with a deep commitment to promoting Pan-Africanism and preserving Indigenous community cultural knowledge. She is dedicated to designing, directing, and developing art, culture, artistic performances, and exhibitions that authentically represent the voice and vibrancy of the East African community. She is also Head of the Somaliland Centre for African Studies and program manager of the Hargeysa International Book Fair. She has a sociolinguistic, communication, and conflict management academic background. Yetbarek lives and works in Hargeysa.
