Ubax

Ubax is a DJ. Ubax grew up surrounded by the sounds of Jungle, Drum and Bass, UK garage, Grime and Somali music. Bass heavy, hard-pushing sounds that focus on keeping dancers sweating and smiling are Ubax’s goals when she plays. She started DJing in Berlin and she is a graduate from the fourth round of the Femme Bass Mafia mentorship programme. Ubax is inspired by the sounds of Southwest Asia and North Africa, South Africa, Latin America, and the UK. More recently Ubax has been exploring her rich musical heritage and combining her two loves, bass and Somali music to create a unique musical experience for listeners. Ubax lives and works in Berlin.
